Dear compatriots!
After the order I issued during the day, additional forces to shoot down the drones, or we call them unmanned aircrafts, have already left. I would like to call on the people of Kratie, Ratanakkiri, Mondulkiri and other places where the army will be passing through to not be alarmed about the outbreak of war in Cambodia. The movement of the armed forces from Phnom Penh to Ratanakkiri or Mondulkiri and through Kratie, Tbong Khmum is an intervention force to assist the 1st military region.
Due to a series of violation by unmanned aircrafts that we do not know where they come from. We need to defend our national sovereignty. I consider this to be an invasion and an attempt on terrorist activities on the Cambodian soil. I would like to issue additional orders for the forces in the 1st military zone to cooperate with all forces to search for those who are hiding in Cambodian territory.
This trip is not only to intercept and shoot down the unmanned aircrafts or drones, but also to search for forces that ran from Vietnam through to hide in Cambodian territory. We call on all countries that provide location and space for the unmanned aircrafts to enter our territory to immediately stop such acts of terrorist nature against the independence and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
I am calling on our compatriots to cooperate and provide information of those who might be hiding in Cambodian territory. It is clear that the drones are seeking to make contacts with a group of defectors who have fled Vietnam, and may be in hiding in Cambodia. May our people cooperate by providing information to our troops on land […] in general, we have a variety of weapons to destroy the unmanned aircrafts, which, for several nights already, have violated our sovereignty. I consider this an act of terrorism.
Once again, I call on our neighbors, which may have provided the basis for the drone flights, to immediately stop this activity and respect our sovereignty. We desire nothing but peace and independence, and sovereignty.
I call on people not worry and be alarmed by the situation that may arise when we move our troops, plus the possibility of shooting down drones in Cambodian airspace. You may confide that the Royal Government will be able to control all this situation with the cooperation of the Vietnamese side, who has recently been the victim of terrorist attack. I urge all forces to conduct a thorough search on land, in addition to preparing to shoot down drones from above. Thank you./.
