PM Hun Sen Encourages Bangladeshi Investors to Invest in Rice Warehouse and Mill Construction in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, January 06, 2020 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has encouraged Bangladeshi investors to invest in constructing rice warehouses and mills in Cambodia.

 

According to his assistant Eang Sophalleth, the Premier made the encouragement here this afternoon while receiving courtesy call from a visiting Bangladeshi parliamentary delegation led by H.E. Muhammad Faruk Khan, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen went on that Bangladeshi investors can buy paddy rice directly from farmers and process it before exporting to Bangladesh.

The Prime minister also expressed his satisfaction with the good relations between the two countries and recommended them to boost the exchange of visits between their leaders and officials in order to increase mutual understanding and find new areas of cooperation.

For his part, H.E. Muhammad Faruk Khan briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the outcomes of his fruitful meetings with his Cambodian counterparts, during which both sides discussed the strengthening and promotion of relationship between the two nations’ parliaments.

H.E. Muhammad Faruk Khan affirmed that H.E. Mrs. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, would visit Cambodian this year to attend the ASEM Summit to be hosted by the Kingdom.
