Phnom Penh, October 31, 2019 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has urged all stakeholders to work together to further improve and enhance the lifelong learning and inclusive and quality of education.
In his message to the opening of the new academic year 2019-2020 (Nov. 1), Samdech Techo Hun Sen called for joint review of the policies, regulatory frameworks, necessary mechanisms to effectively manage, implement and ensure the quality and inclusiveness of education for all students in line with the sustainable development goals.
The Premier also appealed to all stakeholders to pay attention to any obstacles to education, including climate change, natural disasters, drug-related issues, traffic accidents, etc.
In the last two decades, after achieving full peace at the end of 1998 thanks to the “Win-Win” policy, Cambodia has achieved a proud development in all fields. At present, peace has been reigning over the country, along with interconnected bridge and road infrastructure, people’s better living standard, adequate means of transport, freedom to get together with families and to travel both inside and outside the country, he underlined.
The Royal Government has been putting all efforts to further boost the socio-economic development so that Cambodia becomes an upper middle-income economy by 2030 and a high-income nation by 2050, and inclusive and quality education is one of the key driving forces to achieve these goals.
