Phnom Penh, October 29, 2019 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has encouraged Cambodia and Laos to pay attention to the development of infrastructure connectivity and investment, particularly to the electricity sector.
The encouragement was made by the Cambodian Premier while receiving a courtesy call from visiting H.E. Khamphanh Phommathat, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and Head of the LPRP Central Committee Office, at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh this morning, according to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Prime Minister.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also requested both sides to look at other potential areas for cooperation in order to further promote and strengthen the relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
For his part, H.E. Khamphanh Phommathat conveyed greetings from the LPRP General Secretary and Lao Premier to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and spoke highly of the development of Cambodia under the leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).
The Lao leaders and people welcomed the upgrading of the relations between the two nations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership, affirmed the LPRP senior member, adding that his visit to Cambodia this time is to further deepen the bilateral ties and cooperation, especially to boost the implementation of the signed agreements.
