Cambodian PM Returns Home from Europe Visit with Fruitful Outcomes

Phnom Pen, October 18, 2019 –The high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen arrived home safely this morning, after concluding successfully their visit in three European countries from Oct 13-17, 2019.

The delegation was warmly welcomed upon their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and many other senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

In a Facebook post, Samdech Techo Prime Minister reaffirmed the fruitful outcomes of the visit to the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Bulgaria.

“Through the visit, we have strengthened our friendship and broadened our cooperation in Europe, which has brought about great benefits to our nation,” underlined the Cambodian Premier.

In Bulgaria, Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid a courtesy call on President of Bulgaria H.E. Rumen Radev, and held the tête-à-tête and bilateral meetings with his Bulgarian counterpart H.E. Boyko Borissov. After that, the two Prime Ministers presided over the signing ceremony of three cooperation deals between the two countries – the agreement on the economic, scientific, and technical cooperation, the programme for cultural cooperation, and the memorandum of understanding between the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations of Cambodia and the Diplomatic Institute of Bulgaria.

In Hungary, Samdech Techo Hun Sen attended and delivered his keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Budapest Water Summit. Besides, he paid a courtesy call visit to H.E. Janos Ader, President of Hungary, and received the Director General of United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Mr. Li Yong.

In the Czech Republic, Samdech Techo Hun Sen met with H.E. Jaroslav Kubera, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic and had the tête-à-tête and bilateral meetings with his Czech counterpart H.E. Andrej Babiš. During the visit, the two governments reached two key documents on bilateral cooperation – the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Cambodian Ministry of Health and VAMED, Czech health implementing agency, and the memorandum of understanding between Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Czech Chamber of Commerce.
