Cambodian PM Meets Hungarian President in Budapest

Phnom Penh, October 15, 2019 –Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen paid a courtesy call on H.E. Janos Ader, President of Hungary, at Sándor Palace in Budapest, Hungary.

On the occasion, both leaders exchanged their views on water management, bilateral cooperation, and the upcoming visit of H.E. Janos Ader to Cambodia at the end of this month, at the invitation of His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

Besides, the Cambodian Premier mentioned about the “Everything But Arms (EBA)” scheme and asked the Hungarian side to support Cambodia, stressing that what the Kingdom wants is justice from the EU.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also raised the significance of building strategic partnership between the EU and ASEAN.

For his part, H.E. Janos Ader expressed high delight to visit Cambodia later this month and reaffirmed Hungary’s continued support to Cambodia, especially in terms of EBA issue and scholarship provision for Cambodian students.
