Phnom Penh, October 15, 2019 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Jaroslav Kubera, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, have spoken highly of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all sectors as well as between the two legislative and executive bodies.
The two leaders made the appreciation of the bilateral cooperation during their meeting in Prague, the Czech Republic on Oct. 14, according to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK).
Both sides suggested the exchange of visit between specialised commissions of the two countries’ senates, and the mutual support on international arena, especially in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) framework and other forums.
The creation of Cambodia-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group and the visit exchange between the two National Assemblies’ specialised commissions and general secretariats were also proposed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Jaroslav Kubera on the occasion.
The Cambodian Premier profoundly thanked the Czech senate, government and people for their warm welcome and hospitality for him and his high-level delegation. On behalf of Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, Samdech Techo Hun Sen invited H.E. Jaroslav Kubera to pay an official visit in Cambodia at his convenient time, and the latter accepted the invitation.
In addition, Samdech Techo Prime Minister on behalf of Cambodian National Assembly President, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, invited the Czech side to visit and attend the 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) Meeting in Cambodia in 2020.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid a two-day official visit in the Czech Republic on Oct. 13-14. The Prime Minister is currently in Budapest, Hungary for the Third Budapest Water Summit (3rd BWS) scheduled for Oct. 15 under the motto of “Preventing Water Crises”.
