Phnom Penh, October 15, 2019 –Cambodia has asked the Czech side to invest in the production of light aircraft or to provide the Kingdom with light aircraft flight training to boost domestic flights.
According to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK) Oknha Kith Meng, President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC), made the request at a trade meeting with the Czech side, in Prague, on Oct. 14, during the visit of the high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen in the Czech Republic.
Besides, he added, the Czech investors can also invest in the fields of agro-industry, tourism, food processing, construction, vehicle assembly, electricity, health, information technology, cyber security, etc.
The CCC president also requested the Czech government to consider establishing direct flight to Cambodia.
Oknha Kith Meng spoke highly of the Cambodia-Czech trade meeting, saying that it is a historic event that both countries’ Chambers of Commerce contribute to promoting the relations between the two nations in the areas of trade, economy, tourism, and investment.
The two Chambers of Commerce will exchange information related to technical, scientific, economic, and industrial affairs.
After the meeting, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Czech Chamber of Commerce signed a trade cooperation memorandum of understanding, under the presidency of H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, and H.E. Karel Havlicek, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
