Phnom Penh, October 01, 2019 –His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) H.E. Xi Jinping, on the occasion of PRC’s 70th Founding Anniversary. 
On behalf of Her Majesty the Queen-Mother, the Royal Family,
the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia, His Majesty the King expressed his honour to convey to H.E. Xi Jinping and through him to the Communist Party, the State Council, the People’s Liberation Army and the great and heroic people of China, the warmest and heartfelt congratulations on the auspicious occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.
In the last seventy years, the People’s Republic of China has
enjoyed peace and stability allowing the country to prosper and
progress at an impressive pace, he said.
The Cambodian monarch also underlined the importance of H.E.Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative.
“Your Excellency’s Belt and Road Initiative as well as the initiative of jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind are praiseworthy”, he wrote. “I recall with genuine pleasure and fond memories of Your Excellency’s personal Involvement and many kindnesses to me on my Birthday Anniversary during my attendance to the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilisations last May.”
The Kingdom of Cambodia will always stand side by side with the People’s Republic of China and steadfastly adheres to One China Policy, reiterated His Majesty the King.
