New Streetlights to Be Installed in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap

Phnom Penh, May 31, 2019 –Japan-owned Minebea Mitsumi will help Phnom Penh capital and Siem Reap cultural province with public lighting installation.

While paying a courtesy visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in Tokyo, Japan yesterday afternoon, on the sidelines of the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia, Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, President and CEO of Minebea Mitsumi said his company will help installing automatic wireless 5,000 streetlights in Phnom Penh and 2,000 more in Siem Reap province of Cambodia.

Besides, Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma expressed his company’s commitment to expand its existing investment in Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the company for its assistance to Cambodia and request the company to continue working with other provinces on this public lighting installation.

The Cambodian Premier also encouraged the company to continue developing Cambodian human resources.

Minebea started its operations in Cambodia in April 2011, producing mainly ball bearings, mechanical parts and electronic devices.
