PM Appreciates the CRC’s Mission

Phnom Penh, May 08, 2019 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen expressed here this morning his appreciation for the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC)’s mission and contribution to local humanitarian activities and international communities.

Addressing to the celebration of the 156th anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day held at the CRC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh under the theme “I Love Cambodian Red Cross”, Samdech Techo Hun Sen voiced his full support for the celebration’s theme, saying that “Love” is important for all the people, and without “Love”, we would not have been united as currently.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also laid stress on the CRC’s new goals. “During war time, our Red Cross had different goals, and after the country is in peace, we have new goals to move forward our humanitarian mission,” he underlined.

The Cambodian Premier highlighted some natural and man-made disasters in some particular countries and encouraged the CRC to further look at these issues.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also reminded Cambodia’s commitment to contribute to maintaining peace in the world by continuing to support the peacekeeping operations under the UN umbrella.

Currently, CRC has been playing a very important and more effective role in response to emergency rescue and humanitarian mission. Besides, CRC shared some funds for some different nations.
