Phnom Penh, March 05, 2019 –Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received visiting Lao Minister of Public Security H.E. Gen. Vilay Lakhamephong, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon.
According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, H.E. Vilay Lakhamephong briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the results of his bilateral meeting with Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Both sides exchanged information and experience and discussed the cooperation in preventing drug trafficking, cross-border crimes, illegal logging and in strengthening security and safety along the border in order to facilitate business and travel of the people of both countries, underlined H.E. Gen. Vilay Lakhamephong.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the outcome of bilateral talks between Samdech Sar Kheng and H.E. Gen. Vilay Lakhamephong, which reflects the special relations between the two neighbouring nations.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation on drug issues and encouraged more discussions between the two sides, especially on ways to further facilitate cross-border trade.
