Cambodian PM Holds Talks with CPPCC Chairman

Phnom Penh, January 23, 2019 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held talks yesterday afternoon with Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) H.E. Wang Yang, during his stay in Beijing, China for a four-day official visit since Jan. 20, reported the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK).

In the meeting, H.E. Wang Yang expressed warm welcome to Samdech Techo Prime Minister’s visit, saying that it will further contribute to boosting more cooperation between both nations.

H.E. Wang Yang lauded Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s leadership and congratulated the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) on its landslide victory in the national election last year.

The CPPCC chairman also spoke highly of the relationship between Cambodia and China, affirming that the latter will continue to work with and contribute to the development of Cambodia.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen conveyed greetings from Samdech Vibol Sena Padei Say Chhum, President of the Senate, to H.E. Wang Yang and invited him to pay a visit to Cambodia.

Cambodia has really benefited from China’s development, underlined the Cambodian Premier, adding that the “One Belt, One Road” initiative have provided benefits for all member countries, including Cambodia.

H.E. Wang Yang accepted Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s invitation to visit Cambodia in an appropriate time in the future.
