His Majesty the King Satisfied with National Progress

AKP Phnom Penh, November 09, 2018 —His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has expressed his satisfaction with the current national progress, happiness, and peace, and praised Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his wise leadership.

“Over the past years, our Cambodian motherland and people have changed to a brand new image. Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen is a wise leader who set forth right policies bringing about peace, solidarity, national unity and reputation [to the country],” said the Cambodian monarch at a mass meeting in front of the Royal Palace, Phnom Penh this morning, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the National Independence Day.

Besides, His Majesty the King called on all his compatriots to be united under the constitution and state’s laws in contribution to protect and reconstruct our motherland in all sectors.

For his part, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen highlighted His Majesty the late King-Father, Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk’s sacrifice in his royal crusade for national independence from France.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen was also committed to further boost national progress, to defend national independence, peace, sovereignty and territorial integrity, to continue solving border issues with neighbouring countries based on international laws, and to prevent all kinds of infraction as well as continue promoting Safety Village, Commune/Sangkat policy.

As Nov. 9, 2018 also marks the 65th founding anniversary of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, the Premier expressed his gratitude to all armed forces for their joint efforts with the Royal Government in maintaining peace, stability, security and order in the country.
