AKP Phnom Penh, October 21, 2018 —Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, held a deep and fruitful talk with President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey H.E. Binali Yildirim, in Istanbul, Turkey yesterday afternoon (Istanbul local time), the first day of his three-day working visit in the country.
According to Samdech Techo’s official Facebook page, both leaders discussed the strengthening of bilateral friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two nations, especially Cambodia’s plan to establish an embassy in Turkey after the latter opened its embassy in Cambodia since 2013.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the promotion of relations in the areas of diplomacy, trade, tourism investment, and other sectors, including the direct flight between both countries. Moreover, they discussed bilateral and multilateral, regional and international issues of common interests.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen said it is his wish to visit Turkey, a land connecting Asia to Europe, stressing that this is a historic visit and he is the first Cambodian leader to pay a working visit to Turkey.
H.E. Binali Yildirim expressed warm welcome to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the Cambodian high-level delegation for their first-ever visit in Turkey during the 20 years of establishment of the diplomatic ties between both nations.
H.E. Binali Yildirim shared the same ideas with Samdech Techo Hun Sen over the exchange of visit at all levels to boost more cooperation between Cambodia and Turkey.
