AKP Phnom Penh, September 29, 2018 —The Kingdom of Cambodia is going to reopen its Embassy in Bulgaria after being closed for a certain period of time due to political situation in Bulgaria.
According to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK), Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen affirmed the embassy’s reopening at the bilateral meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart H.E. Boyko Borissov in New York on Sept. 28, on the sidelines of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly.
H.E. Prime Minister of Bulgaria welcomed the move, stressing that it is an opportunity for Samdech Techo to pay an official visit to Bulgaria. He also supported Cambodia’s intention to be the host country of Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in 2020 and regarded it as a chance for him to visit Cambodia.
Besides, both leaders agreed to continue strengthening and expanding the relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of economy, investment, trade and tourism.
