AKP Phnom Penh, September 10, 2018 —Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, departed here this morning for the 15th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, China.
The Cambodian Premier was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng and many other senior government officials.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen will attend the 15th China-ASEAN Expo from Sept. 10 to 12, 2018 in Nanning city, Guangxi province, at the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s press release, the 15th China-ASEAN Expo to be held under the theme “Jointly Building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and the China-ASEAN Community of Innovation” will showcase various products from ASEAN and China and promote cooperation of private sector in business, trade, investment and tourism.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver his key remarks at the opening ceremony of the 15th China-ASEAN Expo with an aim to promote trade and investment between ASEAN and China as well to attract potential Chinese investors and tourists to the ASEAN region.
As Cambodia is the Country of Honour for this year’s event, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Han Zheng, Vice Premier of China, will preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the national pavilion of Cambodia as well as visit Cambodia’s trade exhibition hall.
During his stay in China, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will meet with some Chinese dignitaries and receive separate courtesy calls by the leaders of Guangxi province and other important Chinese business leaders, Chinese company CEOs and grant an interview to the Chinese media.
After the expo, the Prime Minister will continue his trip to the World Economic Forum on ASEAN in Hanoi before returning home.
