AKP Phnom Penh, August 02, 2018 —Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has resumed his visit to factory workers after a few weeks of interruption for the elections.
This morning, the Premier held a get-together with more than 14,000 workers and employees from 24 factories and enterprises in Khan Pursenchey, Phnom Penh.
According to Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng, those 24 factories and enterprises are invested by Chinese, South Koran, Singaporean and Cambodian investors.
This is Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s second public appearance after the 6th National Election on July 29.
Since August 20, 2017, Samdech Techo Hun Sen held 51 get-togethers with 700,202 workers and employees in different provinces and cities.
In Phnom Penh, there are currently 4,453 factories and enterprises, employing in total 772,836 workers and employees with a total annual wage of US$1.85 billion. Of the factories, there are 688 garment, textile and footwear factories, employing 408,234 workers and employees with over US$979 million annual wage.
