AKP Phnom Penh, June 19, 2018 —Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen held talks here this morning at the Peace Palace with visiting Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce H.E. Ms. Gao Yan.
In the courtesy meeting, H.E. Ms. Gao Yan said this is her second visit to Cambodia and she noted the Kingdom’s fast development.
According to H.E. Ms. Gao Yan, the purpose of her visit this time is to further deepen the relationship and cooperation between the two nations in accordance with the agreements reached by both countries’ leaders, especially on the people-to-people connectivity, strategic policy connectivity, infrastructure development, as well as bilateral trade volume which rose to US$5 billion in 2017.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed warm welcome to the visit of H.E. Ms. Gao Yan and spoke highly of the relations between the two countries.
The relationship between Cambodia and China have reached a new level and the development of Cambodia is inseparable from China’s assistance, underlined the Cambodian Premier.
