AKP Phnom Penh, April 09, 2018 –His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, arrived home this afternoon after paying a visit to Japan since April 6, 2018.
The Cambodian monarch was welcomed upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Senate President Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his spouse Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, as well as many other high-ranking officials, and royal family members.
H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, was also present on the occasion.
While in Japan, His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni attended the commemoration of 4th International Buddhist Day and the inauguration ceremony of Nalanda Mahavihara, which will play an important role as the centre for spreading Buddhism into the entire world.
This visit has fostered the relationship between the two Kingdoms – Cambodia and Japan.
