AKP Phnom Penh, March 31, 2018 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, participated this afternoon in the 10th Cambodia-Laos-Viet Nam Summit on Development Triangle Area (CLV-DTA) in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.
According to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK)’s report, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his Lao and Vietnamese counterparts recognised the CLV’s achievements and efforts in developing the sub-region socio-economic development. Anyway, the CLV countries have been facing challenges such as in maintaining their sustainable economic growth in order to solve the negative impacts of climate change and the development gap in the ASEAN region.
The CLV leaders also highlighted the necessity of the CLV’s connectivity in order to promote the economic competitiveness and the effectiveness of regional and global chains.
Besides, the CLV leaders reviewed past achievements of the initiative and set plans for the future in key areas, including cooperation in economy, trade, investment, infrastructure and energy. They also adopted the Plan of Action for Cambodia-Laos-Viet Nam economic connectivity up to 2030 and signed a joint declaration.
The CLV leaders pledged to further their discussions in the 11th CLV-DTA in Lao PDR in 2020.
