Back-to-Back China-ASEAN Events Kick-started in Nanning

AKP, September 13, 2017 – The back-to-back 14th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) have been officially launched at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Nanning city, Guangxi province of the People’s Republic of China.

In his news briefing taking place prior to the launch, Spokesperson at Ministry of Commerce of China Mr. Gao Feng, said the expo was intended to coincide with the 50th anniversary of China-ASEAN tourism cooperation.

The Sept. 12-15 expo, themed “Building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to Promote Regional Economic Integration by Tourism”, aims to further promote China-ASEAN trade relations as well as to attract more Chinese and foreign investors and visitors to the ASEAN region, the spokesperson added.

Along with their respective delegation, leaders of ASEAN countries, China and beyond – including Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen – are participating in the events.

Thousands of products from 2,709 enterprises are put on display on some 6,600 booths encompassing over 120,000 square metres of land surface.
