យោងតាមការបង្ហោះផ្សាយរបស់ក្រសួងការបរទេសបានឱ្យដឹងថា នៅថ្ងៃទី៣ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ឯកឧត្តម គង់ ភោគ រដ្ឋលេខាធិការ និងជាឧត្តមមន្ត្រីអាស៊ានកម្ពុជា បានធ្វើជាសហប្រធានដឹកនាំកិច្ចប្រជុំឧត្តមមន្ត្រីអាស៊ាន-សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក លើកទី៣៨ ជាមួយ ឯកឧត្តម Michael George DeSombre ឧបការីរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីការបរទេសទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការអាស៊ីបូព៌ា និងប៉ាស៊ីហ្វិក និងជាឧត្តមមន្ត្រីសហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក នៅលេខាធិការដ្ឋានអាស៊ាន ទីក្រុងហ្សាការតា ប្រទេសឥណ្ឌូណេស៊ី។ កិច្ចប្រជុំនេះមានការចូលរួមពីសំណាក់ឧត្តមមន្ត្រី និងតំណាងពីប្រទេសសមាជិកអាស៊ាន សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក និងលេខាធិការដ្ឋានអាស៊ាន។
កិច្ចប្រជុំបានស្វាគមន៍ចំពោះការអនុវត្តប្រកបដោយជោគជ័យនៃផែនការសកម្មភាពដើម្បីអនុវត្តភាពជាដៃគូយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រអាស៊ាន-សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក(២០២១-២០២៥) ពិនិត្យឡើងវិញនូវកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការក្រោមភាពជាដៃគូយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រគ្រប់ជ្រុងជ្រោយអាស៊ាន-សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក កំណត់វិស័យថ្មីសម្រាប់កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការនាពេលអនាគតនិងផ្លាស់ប្តូរទស្សនៈគ្នាជុំវិញការវិវត្តក្នុងតំបន់ និងអន្តរជាតិ។
ភាគីទាំងពីរក៏បានទន្ទឹងរង់ចាំការអបអរខួបលើកទី៥០ នៃទំនាក់ទំនងដៃគូសន្ទនាអាស៊ាន-សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក ក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០២៧ ផងដែរ។
ក្នុងនាមជាប្រទេសសម្របសម្រួលទំនាក់ទំនងដៃគូសន្ទនាអាស៊ាន-សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក កម្ពុជាបានអះអាងជាថ្មីនូវការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តក្នុងការធ្វើការជិតស្និទ្ធជាមួយប្រទេសសមាជិកអាស៊ាននិងសហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិកក្នុងការត្រៀមរៀបចំព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ដ៏សំខាន់នេះ និងលើកកម្ពស់ភាពជាដៃគូឲ្យឈានទៅកម្រិតខ្ពស់ថ្មីមួយទៀតដើម្បីផលប្រយោជន៍រួមរបស់ប្រជាជនទាំងពីរ។
On 3 June 2026, H.E. Kung Phoak, Secretary of State and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, co-chaired the 38th ASEAN–U.S. Dialogue with H.E. Michael George DeSombre, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and SOM Leader of the U.S., at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Meeting was attended by Senior Officials and Representatives from ASEAN Member States, the United States, and the ASEAN Secretariat.
The Meeting welcomed the successful implementation of the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN–U.S. Strategic Partnership (2021–2025), reviewed ongoing cooperation under the ASEAN–U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, identified new areas for future collaboration, and exchanged views on regional and international developments. Both sides also looked forward to commemorating the 50th anniversary of ASEAN–U.S. Dialogue Relations in 2027.
As Country Coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relations, Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with ASEAN Member States and the U.S. in the lead-up to this important milestone and to further elevating the partnership to new heights for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both sides.
