Banteay Meanchey, October 13, 2025 –Thai armed forces continued to violate Cambodian sovereignty by clearing land in Prey Chan village, O’ Beichoan commune, O’ Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, on the morning of Oct. 13.
The new clearing operation took place at a site to the left of the previous location where Thai forces had recently carried out similar activities in the same village.
In recent days, Thailand has committed a series of violations, including clearing farmlands long relied upon by Prey Chan villagers and playing disturbing sounds, such as ghost-like noises, barking dogs, wind, and airplane sounds, constituting psychological intimidation and harassment against residents of Prey Chan and Chork Chey villages.
Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the border dispute peacefully through the utmost restraint and strict adherence to the ceasefire, while reserving its right to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity along the border.
