AKP, July 20, 2017 –President of the Senate of Cambodia, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, held talks here this afternoon with visiting General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong, during the latter’s three-day (July 20-22) state visit in Cambodia.
In the meeting, Samdech Say Chhum expressed his warm welcome to H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit which was made at the time when both nations are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties.
Samdech Say Chhum underlined that this is a historical visit, which will bring about great benefits for the two peoples and countries at present and in the future.
For his part, H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong congratulated Cambodia on her rapid progress in all domains under the leadership of His Majesty the King, the Senate, National Assembly and Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as on the successful organisation of the Commune/Sangkat Council Election last month.
