7 Chinese Medical Experts Arrive in Cambodia to Help Combat COVID-19

Phnom Penh, March 23, 2020 –A team of seven medical experts with medical supplies arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport this morning.

They were warmly welcomed upon their arrival at the airport by H.E. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wentian, and other senior health officials.

This medical team left China’s Guangxi for Cambodia yesterday.

Cambodia has so far detected 84 COVID-19 cases (22 women), of the there are 33 Cambodians, 3 British, 33 French, a Canadian, a Belgian, 12 Malaysians, and a Chinese. Two of the infected patients, have recovered.

According to the World Health Organisation, there are currently 294,110 confirmed cases globally with 12,944 deaths in 186 countries, and territories.
