Cambodian PM Calls for an End to Copyright Infringement

Phnom Penh, March 03, 2020 — Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has appealed to his compatriots to stop all forms of copyright infringement.

The Premier made the appeal while presiding over here this afternoon the celebration of the 22nd National Culture Day, the closing ceremony of Youth Arts Festival and the get-together with artistes.

“I urge all compatriots, especially the artistes and writers, to immediately stop all forms of the infringement of copyright and other similar rights by reproducing songs, movies, pictures, literary work … without permission from the copyright owner or from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts,” he underlined.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen gave some recommendations in order to promote and preserve both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, enhance the national culture, and boost cultural tourism.
