Phnom Penh, February 21, 2020 –Feasibility study on ring road No. 4 has been conducted aiming to facilitate transportation from the capital to province and vice-versa, according to Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, said that the ministry has allowed a private firm to carry out the feasibility study, but he did not unveil the firm’s name.
“The feasibility study on the ring road No. 4 has been conducted, but not yet finished,” H.E. Sun Chanthol said at a press conference held here at the Council of the Ministers this morning.
“I asked not to reveal the specific location of the ring road No. 4,” he said, explaining that it is to avoid any sharp increase in land prices in the area for development.
The ring road No. 4 construction project is made amid the ongoing construction of ring road No. 3 connecting National Road No. 4 to Phnom Penh Autonomous Port in Kean Svay district, Kandal province, crossing National Roads No. 3 and 2.
