Cambodian PM Calls on the Public Not to Misunderstand Two Drills

Phnom Penh, December 18, 2019 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has appealed to the public not to misunderstand two important drills conducted by Cambodia.

At the graduation ceremony of the Western University held here this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that today there are two drills being organised, therefore do not get frightened and post these events on social media to distort the situation.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the first drill – Full Scale Airport Emergency Exercise (REPEX-19) – is being conducting at Siem Reap International Airport to enhance the capabilities of authorities and other agents to rescue victims on time during any possible plane crash, while the second is the joint military drill at the border between the Cambodian province of Svay Rieng and the Vietnamese province of Long An.

“Do not use social media to mislead the public about plane crash or troop deployment, etc.,” underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
