Phnom Penh, December 04, 2019 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has received a courtesy call from newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Cambodia H.E. Bjorn Haggmark.
H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Prime Minister, told reporters after the courtesy meeting held here at the Peace Palace this morning that H.E. Bjorn Haggmark pledged to do his best to further promote the existing cooperation between the two nations, especially in terms of global issues such as climate change and globalisation.
In reply, the Cambodian Premier warmly welcomed the diplomatic mission of H.E. Bjorn Haggmark in Cambodia, and told him of the country’s priority, i.e. peace and stability, as well of the Kingdom’s ambition of becoming an upper middle-income economy by 2030.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his gratitude to the Government and people of Sweden for their support for the development of Cambodia, particularly for the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister also encouraged both sides to work together to find new areas of cooperation.
