Phnom Penh, November 02, 2019 –Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning took a special plane to Thailand to attend the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits to be held under the theme “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability” in Bangkok on Nov. 2-5, 2019.
The Premier was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and many other senior government officials as well as Thai Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. H.E. Panyarak Poolthup.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his stay in Bangkok, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will attend the 35th ASEAN Summit, 22nd ASEAN-China Summit, 16th ASEAN-India Summit, 10th ASEAN-UN Summit, 22nd ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit, 7th ASEAN-U.S. Summit, 14th East Asia Summit, 22nd ASEAN-Japan Summit, and 3rd Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Summit.
On the margins of the 35th ASEAN Summit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also attend the ASEAN Plus Three Leaders’ Interface with the East Asia Business Council, Special Lunch on Sustainable Development, and the 11th Mekong-Japan Summit Working Dinner.
Moreover, Samdech Techo Prime Minister is expected to have some bilateral meetings with other leaders and dignitaries from ASEAN Countries and ASEAN Dialogue Partners. He will have a cordial breakfast with H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Viet Nam, and H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister was accompanied by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as a number of senior government officials and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
