Phnom Penh, October 05, 2019 –H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong, Party General Secretary and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam has appreciated the progress of the Kingdom of Cambodia, especially its economic growth.
The Vietnamese leader made the appreciation while receiving courtesy call from Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, in Ha Noi yesterday afternoon, according to H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister.
H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong expressed warm welcome to Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s official visit in Viet Nam, saying that he closely followed the bilateral meeting between the two Premiers, the joint press conference as well as the joint Investment and Trade Promotion Conference.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister briefed the Vietnamese President on the outcome of his visit in Viet Nam this time, considering it as a historical event in contribution to the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke highly of rapid development of Viet Nam and affirmed that both countries will work together to achieve the objectives already set forth, carry out strictly all the signed agreements, and do their best to solve the remaining issues, particularly those related to border issues.
The Cambodian Prime Minister thanked Viet Nam for its assistance in the peace-seeking process, reconstruction and development of Cambodia.
