Phnom Penh, June 04, 2019 –Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen held talks here this morning at the Peace Palace with visiting Lao Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sonexay Siphandone.
In the meeting, H.E. Sonexay Siphandone conveyed greetings from the Lao leaders to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and expressed thanks to Cambodia for its support for his country as well as to the Royal Government for its support to Lao investors in Cambodia and for electricity purchase.
The Lao deputy prime minister told the Cambodian Premier of his visit, the purpose of which is to learn about Cambodia’s experience in the country development. He also lauded the progress of Cambodia and better living standard of the Cambodian people.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Lao side for the energy supply and encouraged both sides to expand their bilateral cooperation in the areas of tourism, culture, trade, investment, and other economic activities, as well as to regard energy as a priority sector for bilateral cooperation.
