Cambodia, Nepal Reach Two More Deals

Phnom Penh, May 13, 2019 –Cambodia and Nepal reached here this afternoon two more deals during the official visit of Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the Rt. Hon’ble K. P. Sharma Oli and his spouse in Cambodia.

Those two important documents are signed under the witness of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and his Nepalese counterpart, the Rt. Hon’ble K. P. Sharma Oli, at the Peace Palace following their bilateral meeting.

The first signed document is the framework agreement on trade and investment, while the second is the memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation between Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

A high-level Nepalese delegation led by the Rt. Hon’ble K. P. Sharma Oli and his spouse arrived in Phnom Penh this afternoon for a three-day official visit, at the invitation of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

This visit will further strengthen the bonds of friendship and promote economic, trade, tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

In November last year, Samdech Techo Hun Sen paid his first-ever visit to Nepal, during which both nations have reached four cooperation deals, including the agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, agreement on air transport, memorandum of understanding on consultations between both countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the fields of politics and economy, and memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation.
