Phnom Penh, April 26, 2019 -Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has now become an Honorary Professor of International Relations at Peking University in Beijing, China.
The title conferment ceremony took place at Peking University yesterday afternoon in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Education of China, the university’s Board of Rectors and students.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen was recognised by his wise leadership in putting an end to the civil war in Cambodia and in rehabilitating and developing the country’s socio-economy through his Win-Win policy as well as in enhancing the Kingdom’s international relations.
The Premier’s support for the “One Belt, One Road” initiative of Chinese President H.E. Xi Jinping was also part of the recognition.
On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the Chinese side held a symbolic inauguration ceremony of Cambodian Research Institute of the Royal Academy of Cambodia supported by the Peking University.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister arrived in Beijing on April 25 to attend the 2nd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and a series of events and meetings in Beijing, China until April 29. By C. Nika
