Phnom Penh, March 12, 2019 -Visiting H.E. Norio Yamaguchi, Deputy Chairman of the International Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) of Japan, has noted the positive and rapid change and development in Cambodia compared to his last visit to the country three years ago.
H.E. Norio Yamaguchi made the appreciation while paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
The FEC deputy chairman also spoke highly of Cambodia’s support to investors by cutting off some formalities in order to facilitate investment and cross-border trade with transparency.
Moreover, H.E. Norio Yamaguchi sought the Prime Minister’s support to Japanese investors who are doing business in Cambodia and exploring investment opportunities in the country.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen laid stress on Cambodia’s reform efforts to ease investment and increase the Kingdom’s competitiveness such as reduction of electricity fees, termination of the operation of Cambodia Import-Export Inspection and Fraud Repression Directorate General (CamControl) at all border gates and that of Kampuchea Shipping Agency and Brokers (KAMSAB).
