Phnom Penh, February 20, 2019 -Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has held his 64th get-together with factory workers and employees.
The meeting took place at Chengdu Bayi (Cambodia) Trade Centre located in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province with the participation of 11,227 workers and employees from 34 factories and enterprises in Ang Snuol district and Takhmao town.
According to H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, most of the 34 factories and enterprises are invested by Chinese investors followed by Cambodian counterparts, and 12 of which are garment and footwear factories.
There are currently 482 factories and enterprises in Kandal province, employing 155,360 workers and employees with a total annual wage of US$526 million, he added.
Since Aug. 20, 2017, Samdech Techo Hun Sen has paid 64 visits to nearly 920,000 workers and employees across the country.
