Cambodian Foreign Minister To Attend AMM Retreat in Thailand

 Phnom Penh, January 16, 2019 –Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn will lead a delegation to attend the ASEAN Foreign Minister’s Retreat (AMM Retreat) in Thailand, at the invitation of his Thai counterpart H.E. Don Pramudwinai.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the AMM Retreat will take place in Chiang Mai on Jan. 17-18, 2019.

At the AMM Retreat, it pointed out, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers will discuss various priority areas of common interests that ASEAN will be carrying out in 2019 in the ASEAN Community building processes and work towards a more resilient and people-centred ASEAN Community as well as intensify relations with external partners for mutual prosperity.

As the rotating chairman of ASEAN in 2019, added the same source, Thailand adopted the theme “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability” which is in the line with ASEAN’s common objectives in promoting sustainable development goals.
