AKP Phnom Penh, December 29, 2018 –Peace earned from the Win-Win policy is for the Cambodian nation and people despite their political tendencies.
The remarks were made by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen while he and his spouse were presiding over the inauguration ceremony of the Win-Win Memorial and the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Win-Win Policy.
The Premier took the opportunity to dedicate the achievements obtained thanks to the policy to all his compatriots and wished that those achievements will remain forever.
Win-Win policy has brought about national unity and full peace to Cambodia and no country dares to act as Cambodia, he stressed.
For the Win-Win Memorial, the symbol of Cambodian peace, it will become an important place for the younger generation to learn and conduct research about the value of the Win-Win policy which put an end to the Cambodian civil war since 1998, he added.
The inauguration ceremony of the Win-Win Memorial and the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Win-Win Policy took place at the Win-Win Memorial located on an 8-hectare plot of land in front of Morodok Techo Stadium in Ly Yong Phat development area in Sangkat Prek Tasek, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.
The events were attended by thousands of senior government officials, civil servants, armed forces, students, artistes and local people as well as foreign guests from the neighbouring countries and Mr. Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, Executive Secretary of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI).
Different programmes, ranging from sports events, exposition of achievements of each ministry and institution to trade fair and entertainment programme, have been prepared for the events to last for three days until Dec. 31, along with the New Year countdown.
