Cambodia, Vietnam Reach Six Deals to Boost More Cooperation

AKP Phnom Penh, December 07, 2018 -The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed in Hanoi, Vietnam this morning six important deals to promote more bilateral cooperation between the two neighbouring nations, according to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK)’s special report.

The signing ceremony took place under the witness of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his Vietnamese counterpart H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, following their bilateral talks.

The six signed documents are the memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation in transport sector for 2018-2025, amendment to the 2005 protocol for implementation of the road transport agreement of 1998, amendment to water transport agreement of 2009, agreement on Cambodia-Vietnam border trade, Cambodia-Vietnam bilateral trade promotion coordination for 2018-2019, and agreement on prevention of traffic, illegal excavations and return of heritage of the two countries.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen arrived in Hanoi yesterday afternoon for a three-day official visit in Vietnam, after concluding his visit in Lao PDR.
