AKP Phnom Penh, October 21, 2018 —Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen went sightseeing in Istanbul, the most populous city in Turkey, by boat yesterday evening.
The Cambodian Premier arrived in Istanbul on Oct. 20 for a three-day working visit in Turkey, after attending the 12th ASEM Summit in Brussels, Belgium.
With a total population of more than 80 million, Turkey is a transcontinental country in Eurasia and Middle East. The country is bordered by Greece, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
Cambodia and Turkey established their diplomatic relations on June 14, 1994. Turkey opened its embassy in Phnom Penh on Nov. 1, 2013, while Cambodia planned to establish its embassy in Ankara next year.
