AKP Phnom Penh, September 13, 2018 —Like other world leaders, Prime Ministers of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic have expressed their sincere congratulations to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, re-elected Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“The absolute victory of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) led by Samdech Techo as the President in the general elections on July 29, 2018, and the fact that Samdech Techo continues being as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, are great demonstrations of the enormous trust of the nation and the people of Cambodia reserved for CPP in general and for Samdech Techo in particular,” said Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc in his congratulatory message.
The Vietnamese leaders also expressed his confidence that under the brilliant leadership of Samdech Techo Prime Minister, the Kingdom of Cambodia will continue to maintain peace, independence, neutrality, stability and prosperity, with its people’s life being improved, its role and status being enhanced in the region and in the world.
“I strongly believe that in your noble position, Samdech Techo Prime Minister will continue to make important contributions to strengthening and deepening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two countries. I affirm to work with Samdech Techo to give close directions to the ministries and agencies to effectively implement cooperation agreements between the two governments aimed at bringing the Viet Nam-Cambodia relation as ‘good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-lasting stability’ to a new height, for the benefit of our two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in Southeast Asia and in the world,” he stressed.
For his part, H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR, said he was convinced that the good and long-lasting sisterhood and friendly relations as well as existing cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened.
“I look forward to working closely with Samdech Techo for the interests of our two nations and for the dynamic ASEAN family as well as for peace, friendship and cooperation in the region and in the world,” underlined the Lao Premier.
