Samdech Techo Hun Sen Receives Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister

AKP Phnom Penh, August 29, 2018 — Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here this afternoon at the Peace Palace courtesy call from visiting India’s External Affairs Minister H.E. Ms. Sushma Swaraj.

On the occasion, H.E. Ms. Sushma Swaraj expressed her congratulations over the outcome of the recent National Election in Cambodia, adding that India has dispatched many observers who witnessed the free, fair and non-violent election in the Kingdom.

The Indian top diplomat also shared her own impression over the fast development of Cambodia, in both hard and soft sectors.

Besides, she briefed the Cambodian Premier on the outcome of her bilateral talks with H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, particularly on direct flight from India to Cambodia.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked H.E. Ms. Sushma Swaraj for her congratulations and the Government of India for its assistance to Cambodia since after its liberation from the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister welcomed the outcome of the bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of both nations on direct flight and Quick Impact Project which, he said, can assist directly Cambodian people, especially when the country has been hitting by floods, through renovation of flooded schools, hospitals, etc., provision of seeds and so on.
