AKP Phnom Penh, July 02, 2018 —Cambodia-China Sen Sok Friendship Flyover, known as Psar Dei Hoy Flyover, was put into official use this morning under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
Ambassador of China to Cambodia H.E. Xiong Bo was also in attendance.
The construction of this 942-metre-long and 16.5-metre-wide overpass lasted about 24 months, from May 2016 to May 2018 at a total cost of US$17 million, a concessional loan from the Government of China and a budget of the Royal Government of Cambodia, according to Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol.
Cambodia-China Sen Sok Friendship Flyover will help ease the transport of goods and travel of people in Phnom Penh, especially those who travel to and from Phnom Penh International Airport, he added.
Located at the intersection of Russian Federation Blvd.and Hanoi Street, this newly inaugurated bridge is the 5th overpass in the capital. The other existing four are Kbal Thnal Flyover along Preah Monivong Blvd. adjacent to Preah Monivong Bridge, the January 7 Flyover at the intersection of Pet Lok Sang (Monks’ Hospital) traffic lights, the Stung Meanchey Flyover, and January 5 Flyover.
The 6th overpass along with an underpass is currently under construction at Chom Chao roundabout.
