PM Hun Sen Lauds Current Cambodia-Thailand Relations

AKP Phnom Penh, May 29, 2018 –Newly appointed Thai Ambassador H.E. Panyarak Poolthup paid a courtesy visit to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian premier, in the meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his pride of the current relations between the two neighbouring nations.

The Prime Minister suggested both sides consider boosting the cooperation in the areas of tourism, investment, trade and economy.

For his part, H.E. Panyarak Poolthup pledged to do his best to further tighten the friendship between the two Kingdoms, promote security cooperation, especially foster the close relationship between people and people.

According to the Royal Thai Embassy’s news release, last year the two-way trade between both countries reached more than US$6.16 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent.
