Cambodian PM Urges for More Attention to Domestic Workers

AKP Phnom Penh, May 23, 2018 –Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has appealed to the public to pay more attention to domestic workers.

While presiding over a gathering with 19,949 workers and employees from 17 factories and enterprises in Kampong Speu province this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen asked for sympathy, encouragement, decent wage for the housemaids.

“They work hard, without Saturday or Sunday,” the Premier underlined.

The Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen has been paying high attention to the enhancement of social protection of the workers, both formal and informal.
