AKP Phnom Penh, May 07, 2018 –Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen presided over here this morning the groundbreaking ceremony for the improvement of National Road No. 3 from Phnom Penh’s Chom Chao to Bek Kus and Kampot provincial town.

The improvement of this over-134-kilometre-long road portion is estimated to cost more than US$200 million funded by the Royal Government’s budget and the referential buyer’s credit loan from the Government of China.

The Cambodian Premier took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Government and people of China for their continued support for the development of Cambodia.

China has so far financed many infrastructure construction projects in Cambodia: 23 road projects of 2,301 kilometres worth US$1,300 million and seven bridges of 6,824 metres worth US$216 million have been completed, while six road projects of 600 kilometres of US$490 million and a bridge project (Stung Trang-Kroch Chmar bridge) are under construction.
