AKP Phnom Penh, March 20, 2018 –Samdech Techo Hun Sen Eco-Global Museum has been opened with an optimism to attract tourists to Preah Vihear to grasp the history of the world heritage site.
An official inauguration of the museum took place today under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers H.E. Bin Chhin.
Lying on a total of 177 hectares of land surface, the construction of the museum costs nearly US$570,000 – the charity amount of which US$150,000 was donated by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
The project was initiated by Samdech Techo Prime Minister and his spouse Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen since July 2008.
With large space and natural scenery, the eco-global museum showcases archaeological collections from Preah Vihear and beyond, as well as traditional household materials of the locals.
