AKP, September 25, 2017 –Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen asked this morning some political analysts to learn more about the country’s constitution before making comments.
No one has the right to interpret the constitution, except the Constitutional Council, stressed Samdech Techo Hun Sen while presiding over the closing ceremony of sluice gate of Lower Sesan II hydropower dam in Stung Treng province this morning.
According to the premier, some analysts who hold a PhD degree criticised him when he reacted to a foreign ambassador who looked down on Cambodia and urged him to get approval from the National Assembly first.
Making reaction to any foreign diplomats is the right of the Prime Minister or Minister of Foreign Affairs, no need to get approval from the National Assembly, underlined Samdech Techo Hun Sen, adding that the Prime Minister has to be responsible for internal and external policy of the country.
“If you don’t know the law well, don’t advise the Prime Minister,” he said.
Meanwhile, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reiterated that he will run for the post of Prime Minister for at least two more mandates and hoped that people will continue to support him and his ruling Cambodian People’s Party.
