On the afternoon of 18 August 2026, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from Mr. Norm Tong, Chairman of TH Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and his delegation at the Peace Palace.
During the meeting, the Chairman expressed his sincere gratitude to the Royal Government and relevant ministries and institutions for their continued support and facilitation, which have contributed to the smooth operation of the company’s business. He also briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company’s achievements and business operations, highlighting that the company holds the exclusive distribution rights for GAC and Chevrolet vehicles in Cambodia. Furthermore, the company has expanded its investment by constructing an assembly plant for both vehicle brands in Cambodia, which has been completed and has recently commenced trial operations. The Chairman added that the plant currently employs approximately 250 staff, all of whom have received comprehensive technical training to ensure the production of high-quality, safe, and affordably priced vehicles for Cambodian customers. During the meeting, the Chairman respectfully invited Samdech Thipadei to preside over the official inauguration ceremony of the assembly plant at an appropriate time in 2026.
In response, Samdech Thipadei congratulated the company on its progress and expressed confidence in its continued growth. He highly appreciated the company’s continued expansion of investment, noting that investment in this sector contributes significantly to job creation, technology transfer to the Cambodian workforce, and the provision of high-quality, safe, and reasonably priced products.
